Dr. Kandarpa Kumar Sarma, an eminent surgeon of Nalbari and Joint Director of Health Services(Retd.), Assam has left us on 20 June morning at the Gauhati Medical College Hospital.
An alumnus of batch 1967 of GMC and a resident of hostel 4, Dr. Sarma was a gentle, kind and polite person. A very brilliant student since his school days, he had completed his post-graduation in General Surgery much later in 1983 from the Assam Medical College.
GMCAA could not pass on the information of sad demise of Dr. Sarma to members as the information has not been communicated to us.
We pray to ALMIGHTY for eternal peace of his departed soul and offer sincere condolences to his wife, sons and other family members.
