On the day of "Adya Shraddha" of Prof. Amal Chandra Barua, former head of the department of paediatrics, Gauhati Medical College, we pray to ALMIGHTY for eternal peace of the departed soul of "Amal Barua Sir".
Apart from being a pioneer in developing paediatric care services in Assam, particularly in Guwahati and Gauhati Medical College, he was regarded as a fatherly figure.
We remember Sir's participation in staff drama on the occasion of GMC anniversary celebration as an acomplished actor.
