With heavy heart, on the eve of Golden Jubilee Foundation day of our alma mater GMC, we convey to our members that Dr. Satyendra Mohan Das an alumnus of first batch (1960) had started his heavenly abode journey on the early hours of 9 September 2010.
Born at Uzan Bazar, Guwahati late Dr. Das completed his post-graduation in Paediatrics from the Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi.
In his early career he had rendered his services as teacher in GMC for 5 years. Laten on, he had joined the ONGC, Sivsagar and retired as Deputy General Manager in 2002.
He was closely associated with many socio-cultural organizations. He was an active member of Sangeet Kanan and Chairman of Kenrdiya Vidyalaya, Sivsagar.
On this day (19 September, 2010) we, all the alumni of GMC pray for eternal peace of our respected and beloved alumnus. May his soul rest in peace. We also convey our sincere condolences to his family members.
